Fertility treatment with egg donation (oocytes) has a long tradition at our clinic and has been carried out to a high standard since our clinic was founded.

In the realm of egg donation treatment, we utilize meticulously selected eggs procured from anonymous donors who have undergone comprehensive testing. The eggs are then fertilised with the partner’s sperm using ICSI/IMSI methods.

The donors are carefully selected. Only young, healthy women (aged 18-34) who meet all the strict criteria laid down by legislation and the internal requirements of our clinic are accepted into the egg donation programme.

Egg donation is anonymous, i.e. the donor has no right to contact your child and it is also legally stipulated that the donor has no „relationship“ to your child. She can also never know when, where and whether her eggs were used.

WHAT IS THE TREATMENT PROCESS?

We approach each couple individually and sensitively. We offer comprehensive care, which consists of an introductory consultation, the necessary examinations to identify the cause of the problems and then the creation of a personalized treatment plan according to the needs of the individual patient.

Our aim is clearly to help infertile couples achieve a successful pregnancy and the birth of a healthy child in the very first treatment cycle. The result of the care and treatment plans is a relatively high effectiveness of our treatment.

HOW DO WE SELECT DONORS FOR YOU?

Donors are selected according to the clinic’s internal requirements and the strict criteria of the European Society for Reproductive Medicine (ESHRE).

In addition to an introductory interview and the completion of questionnaires on health status, interests, education and family history, they must undergo the following examinations:

Gynaecological examination (detailed medical history and ultrasound examination)
Regular screening for sexually transmitted diseases (HIV, hepatitis B, hepatitis C and syphilis)
Genetic examination (for cystic fibrosis, spinal muscular atrophy, deafness and others)
Psychological examination
Toxicological examination of blood and urine for the presence of narcotic substances

It is necessary that they are of an appropriate age (usually between 18 and 34 years) and have healthy eggs. In most cases, these are students and mothers on maternity leave who voluntarily decide to donate eggs in order to allow other couples to have a complete family. Once all tests have been conducted and suitability for donation has been assessed, we schedule a donation day and provide detailed information about the stimulation process.

Who is it suitable for?

IVF is indicated when other methods of infertility treatment, especially conservative ones, are ineffective or the likelihood of successful treatment with other methods is very low.

What is the success rate of infertility treatment at Next Fertility IVF Prof. Zech Pilsen?

How long does IVF take?

The duration of the entire IVF process depends on the results of the previous examinations and the exact type of treatment chosen. The minimum duration of the entire treatment is 2-3 weeks. At Next Fertility Clinic, a cycle with your own eggs, including full preparation of the couple, usually takes one to two months.

What does the term IVF mean?

The abbreviation IVF (in vitro fertilisation or so-called artificial insemination) is a reproductive method where fertilization occurs outside a woman’s body, typically within the embryological laboratory of an Assisted Reproduction Centre. This process involves the union of a female egg with male sperm. In IVF, the eggs and sperm of the couple undergoing treatment are typically used, but donated eggs or sperm may also be utilized when needed.

What are the requirements for egg donation?

Potential egg donors must be any healthy woman aged 20-34 whose state of health is evaluated by our center’s doctor during the initial consultation and examination, followed by an assessment of the results of all the tests we have carried out. Of course, negative tests for sexually transmitted diseases (HIV, syphilis, hepatitis B and C) are required. The donor must not take drugs or regularly consume alcohol. Hereditary or mental illnesses are also an obstacle to donation.

What is the legal situation regarding egg donation?

Egg donation is anonymous in the Czech Republic. This means that the donor does not know for whom she has donated the eggs and whether they have been used at all. She has no access to this information. The donor also has no right to contact the child born, nor does she receive any information about the family. Legally, the child is entirely your child and the donation does not give rise to any claims to contact, information or other legal matters, e.g. inheritance.
